NuHer programme

Perimenopause programme

The NuHer Perimenopause programme is a structured course of care over about three months for women whose periods, sleep, mood or energy have started to change. Instead of a single appointment, you work with a small team – a menopause doctor, a dietitian and a counsellor – who plan your care with you and see you again to review how things are going.

Dietitian and counsellor sessions as your plan requires, with tracking along the way.

  3. Follow-ups Adjust

Your doctor reviews how you feel and fine-tunes the plan.

  4. Month 3 Review

Look back at what has changed and agree what comes next.

Why a programme rather than one appointment

Perimenopause rarely shows up as one symptom. Irregular or heavier periods, poor sleep, night sweats, anxiety, low mood, brain fog, aching joints and changes in weight can arrive together and shift from month to month. A single consultation is a good start, but it is hard to judge what is helping after one visit. The programme builds in follow-ups so your doctor can adjust the plan based on how you actually feel over time.

What the programme includes

  • Doctor consultations with a NuHer gynaecologist or menopause specialist, to take a full history, talk through your symptoms and options, and agree a plan.
  • Nutrition support with our clinical dietitian, Mitun De Sarkar, looking at eating patterns, energy and weight in a way that fits your routine.
  • Emotional support with our counsellors, Parinaz Aga or Priyanka Kapoor, if mood, anxiety, stress or relationships are part of what you are dealing with.
  • Scheduled follow-ups so your plan is reviewed and adjusted rather than left to chance.
  • Symptom tracking with our free menopause symptom tracker, so you and your doctor can see patterns instead of relying on memory.

How the three months usually run

You start with a consultation with one of our doctors, either in person at our Nariman Point clinic in Mumbai or by video from anywhere in India. Your doctor will ask about your cycle, your symptoms, your health history and what matters most to you, and will suggest tests only if they are needed. Together you agree a plan. Depending on what suits you, that may include changes to diet and daily routine, counselling, and, where appropriate, medical treatment such as hormone therapy or non-hormonal options.

Over the following weeks you see the dietitian and counsellor as your plan requires, with follow-up appointments with your doctor along the way. Towards the end of the programme your doctor reviews what has changed and what to do next, whether that is continuing treatment, seeing us less often, or moving to ongoing support such as NuHer membership.

Tracking your symptoms

Perimenopause symptoms come and go, which makes them easy to dismiss. Before your first appointment, it helps to fill in the symptom tracker and bring your results. Repeating it during the programme gives you and your doctor a simple record to compare at each review.

Who the programme suits

The programme is designed for women who think they may be in perimenopause, or who have been told so, and want more than a single conversation. It suits women who would like a doctor, a dietitian and a counsellor working from the same plan. If you are not sure whether your symptoms are linked to perimenopause, our doctors can help you work that out at the first consultation. You can read more on our perimenopause care page.

Questions women ask

Do I need to be sure I am in perimenopause before I join?

No. Many women come to us unsure. The first consultation is there to look at your symptoms and history and decide, with you, whether the programme is the right fit.

Will I be put on HRT?

Not automatically. Hormone therapy is one option your doctor may discuss if it suits you, alongside non-hormonal treatments, nutrition and lifestyle changes. Any decision is made with you after a full assessment. Our HRT guide explains the background.

Can I do the programme by video?

Yes. Consultations are available in person at our Nariman Point clinic or by video across India, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm. If your doctor feels an examination or tests are needed, they will explain why.

How much does the programme cost?

The programme is tailored to the care you need, so we share details when you get in touch. Message us on WhatsApp or book a consultation and our team will talk you through it.
